Over the last 25 years we have worked on an incredibly wide range of projects. They have included everything from custom accounting software for a hospital to a county-wide communications system including a WAN, IP Phone System, and Internet access.

Below we've detailed a few of those projects to give you an idea of what we do on a daily basis and what we can do for your company.

Columbus Zoo
This project provided the Zoo with a campus-wide network with no single point of failure. The network supports their PC Network, POS Systems, and (interestingly) IP cameras to allow visitors to view baby animals that aren't yet ready for exhibit and to allow zookeepers to monitor the animals' birthing process to determine if assistance is needed.

Regional Bank
In 2002 SOTA Technologies designed and installed a company-wide 3Com NBX IP telephone system for a 45 branch regional bank. By eliminating calling charges between the branches, and by giving the corporate office the ability to use "least cost routing" to call customers without using long distance, the bank was able to obtain a very short ROI for their investment. Today, SOTA is in the process of upgrading that system to a new 3Com VCX platform that will give the customer many additional features and capabilities.

Southeast Ohio School system
We deployed a district-wide telephone system and network to combine all of the district's communications and data onto a common network infrastructure. The system uses a 3Com 7700 as the core switch with 3Com 4400s as the edge switches. A 3Com NBX IP Phone System provides the voice services.
